MEET PAUL
My family have owned this land for 50 years and I’ve been coming here since I was 8, so know every inch of it. I’ve had my carpentry and sawmill business here for 14 years, focusing on oak framing and recently diversified into set building and prop making. l can turn my hand to anything, having single-handedly built our house and all the facilities available here.
We inherited the farm and land in 2020, with a vision to re-wild it and return it to the ancient woodland it once was. I have been at the forefront of promoting and adapting the location for film, photography and sound, utilizing the beauty, diversity and quiet here.
I am on hand to create wonderful sets and props, to undertake groundworks, to facilitate filming and to drive and maintain equipment we have to hire.
I am also here to facilitate and create special effects, including car stunts and explosions.
I love to help out with any crew – just ask – I may have it, know where it is, or be able to build it!
MEET AMANDA
I started off my career as a graphic designer, moving into teaching and becoming an Autism Specialist. Having left teaching, I chose to focus on helping Paul at the farm.
Since we inherited the farm in 2020, I have developed a flower cutting garden and am responsible for the upkeep of this, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the greenhouses on the site. I manage the admin side of the farm and also run the farm's social media accounts.
I am starting to re-discover my creative and pottery skills in the new pottery studio and love being amongst the creativity and energy of the people who come to film at the farm.
I look after both the green room and the green screen space at Wilding Wood Studios and I am available to assist.
